With the advent of more widespread cloud computing I've been using more diverse tools to track information.
Hawklyn.org may be a site for me to use as a central reference point, as opposed to my Google Site.
This site has been my intended area of ORIGINAL content generation. Regurgitated web content I find interesting is public in either News or History, my public Evernote clippings.

----------------My latest guess: The template. In my absence from the blog, the pre-existing templates have been re-worked. In part, evidently, to support 'mobile' devices. Once I switched to the newer template (losing the Lighthouse background image..) The entry was saved.
